There is no yellow brick road to follow.
I have bought books (on sale at half price books, of course), I have borrowed some magazines from friends and have purchased some planning guides. Still, planning is a little scary. (this is not meant to scare anyone, just to enlighten you on my own feelings)
There's no guide on what to do if you have not gotten a copy of your baptismal certificate and can't schedule the church.
There is, however, something to find comfort in. People have planned weddings and receptions in 3 months or even less. Why wouldn't I be able to plan something in 8 or so months?
Another comfortable reminder is that the wedding and reception is the smallest detail. The marriage itself is the most important part of this whole adventure.
We are still waiting for our baptismal certificates so that we can start the process with the church. Hopefully the gears will start moving soon, but in all this I have faith that the marriage will be great.
